Reviving the Sound of Midhurst
Midhurst is a town with history in every cobbled street and every brick in our beautiful architecture. But history isn’t just about buildings or books, for us it’s about the rhythms and sounds that once gave a place its heartbeat. In pubs, village halls, and tucked-away corners of Sussex, jazz and blues once filled the air, carrying stories of joy, sorrow, togetherness and community.
The Midhurst Jazz, Food & Blues Festival 2025 is our way of reviving that sound. For one weekend, the town becomes a stage, intimate enough to feel personal, yet bold enough to showcase world-class talent. Filling the streets with sounds that transports our people to the smoky speakeasies of the 50s and 60s, and the jazz and blues that carry the raw honesty of the deep south.
But this isn’t nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake. We’re pairing those timeless sounds with fresh energy, new artists, and flavours that bring a modern twist. It’s about giving Midhurst back its rhythm not as an echo of the past, but as a living, breathing experience.
This November, the town will hum, sing, and sway again. The revival isn’t just in the music; it’s in the shared smiles, the clinking glasses, and the footsteps of a community moving to the same beat.
