The Secret Pop-Up No. 2: The Errol Linton Band! / 22nd October 7.30pm / The Lion's Den / Midhurst
After the phenomenal night with The Medicine Band and the wonderful Lauren Dalrymple, I promised you a second pop-up and to give you first dibs.
Well, this is the one you’ll brag about later. Because we’ve got British blues titan Errol Linton and his band coming down for a private, one-night only performance, to warm us up for the Festival.
From a packed Glastonbury 2022 Acoustic Stage slot to a feature in BBC Two’s Arena documentary Two Generations of the Blues (Blues South of the River), Errol is the real deal. He won the UK Blues Challenge in 2023, and he’s the harmonica you hear tearing through Joe Bonamassa’s Abbey Road cut “Lookout Man!” from Royal Tea. Most recently, he stepped into the national spotlight again with a live session on Cerys Matthews’ BBC Radio 2 Blues Show in March.
Expect Chicago blues shot through with reggae swing, soulful harp, and a band that absolutely smokes. As well as siding for Joe Bonamassa, Errol has played with Bo Diddley, Dr. John, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Tony Allen, Abram Wilson, and The Blind Boys of Alabama.
Because you were there for the first pop-up, you get first dibs on tickets, so grab yours quickly - this will go in a flash.
BOOK YOUR TICKETS BELOW.
If you want to book a table at The Lion’s Den you must call them directly on 01730 923923, first come, first served. Expect the night to be packed and up-close, 100 people max, £20.
Please keep this to our pop-up list for now; if any remain, we’ll open it to the public later.
Personally, I cannot wait for this one.
I’ll see you there!.
